Head Teacher’s Welcome

It is my privilege to be the Head Teacher at Foundations for LIFE School and to virtually welcome you to our wonderful, innovative school.

Foundations for LIFE School is the brainchild of Alex Aresti who has wholly funded the creation of this very special school. Alex spent time in the care system himself as a young person staying in some dreadful places and later in his professional life set-up several homes for looked after children offering the highest standard of care in a safe, supportive environment employing and investing in highly trained staff who genuine care about the children they look after.

Alex felt there was a need for a school that understood the flexibility and support required in teaching neurodiverse children and for children who had experienced adverse childhood experiences. I am honoured to be the Head Teacher at Foundations for LIFE school and delight in implementing the vision of its proprietors.

The school is located in Bridle Road, Netherton just along from Aintree Racecourse with a lawn at the front of the building, an outdoor garden area within the school and outdoor playground at the side of the building. No expense has been spared in the renovation and decoration of the school creating a calm and nurturing environment in which our pupils may thrive. This is a place where pupils can feel safe and welcome every day and their ambitions and aspirations are welcomed and their talents are identified and nurtured to reach their full potential.

From a blank canvas we have created a culture of excellence by recruiting a wonderful team of caring and conscientious professionals who are committed to the success of the school and each child who is part of our school family. We have VR headsets for pupils to further enhance their learning experience and are the very first school in the UK to have Lü Interactive Playground installed which enables the pupils to run around having great fun whilst they are learning the national curriculum through active, physical games.

Our ambition is for each child, whatever their starting point, to improve and achieve academically, socially and emotionally, leaving us prepared for the next phase in their lives. Our staff have all they need to nurture, support, stretch and challenge our pupils to fulfil their full potential. Children in our school are kind, respectful, active and healthy and have a sense of belonging to our school family as we call it. Pupils know that success is a measure of not just their academic ability, but their personal, social and emotional progress and overall wellbeing. Our commitment to our school family is that we will work hard to ensure the very best levels of social, emotional and academic achievement are made possible at Foundations for LIFE school..
